OUR LOVE STORY 💕
How we met ?
It all began thanks to a happy coincidence… or rather, thanks to a cousin.
One day, during a simple FaceTime call, one of Mario's cousins - who was studying at UQO, just like Barbara - decided to introduce Barbara to Mario. This seemingly ordinary moment changed our lives.
This first virtual exchange marked the beginning of a beautiful connection. Phone numbers were quickly exchanged and the conversations started to multiply. From text messages to phone calls, from laughter to heartfelt conversations, a unique bond was formed.
What started as a chance encounter quickly became a love story, a shared adventure, and today… a wedding celebrated surrounded by those who matter most to us.
Thank you to technology and one inspired cousin: without FaceTime, there would be no wedding!
The proposal

In the weeks leading up to my birthday, my sisters and cousins gently encouraged me to get ready and dress up for the occasion. Mario, for his part, had promised me a special weekend celebration, involving a shopping trip, a photoshoot and dinner at a restaurant.
When he came to collect me, everything felt perfect. He was especially attentive, and I had a feeling that something was about to happen, although I couldn't quite put my finger on what. After some shopping and a photoshoot, we headed to his place.
When we arrived, I thought I was walking into a surprise birthday party, but as soon as I stepped through the door, I discovered the real surprise - the most beautiful proposal I could ever have imagined!

To prepare for the proposal, I reached out to Barbara’s friends, sisters, and cousin. They were immediately enthusiastic and offered their help in every possible way, ensuring that everything would remain discreet and perfectly orchestrated - from the choice of her dress to the ring that would soon adorn her finger.
We decided to plan everything for her birthday weekend so that she wouldn't suspect a thing. On the big day, my mission was to keep her distracted while everyone else prepared the setting at my place.
And then, when we finally came home, the surprise was ready. That’s when I knelt down before her shining eyes and asked her to marry me.
